great men who articulated those ideals 10:29.800 --> 10:32.500 kept other human beings as slaves 10:32.500 --> 10:37.100 but over the years because people struggled for equality 10:37.100 --> legislators 10:45.100 --> 10:49.200 to African Americans have become Secretary of State 10:49.200 --> 10:52.500 when this nation was founded. 10:52.500 --> 10:54.600 There was no place for women
